A Guide on How To Braid Hair With Extensions

When it comes to braiding hair extensions, fishtail braids are typically the easiest to master. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to fishtail braid when you have hair extensions.

  1. To get started, ensure your hair extensions are tightly secured to your head and look seamless.
  2. Next, gather your hair along with the attached hair extensions into a high ponytail, concealing the extensions within, and fasten it using hair bands. You may require a few additional bands compared to your usual ponytail to provide adequate support for the added weight of the extensions.
  3. Following that, run a brush through your ponytail to ensure your hair is sleek and prepared for braiding. If you want, you can opt to tie a section of hair around the hair tie using pins to conceal its presence and achieve a more refined appearance.
  4. After your ponytail is done, start your fishtail braid by sectioning your hair into two sides using a parting comb.
  5.  Finally, select a small strand of hair from one side, cross it over, and incorporate it into the opposite side of your hair. Repeat this process on the other side, and continue this technique throughout the length of your hair to craft a fishtail ponytail.
